What are the courses you offered?
Basically we run 4 courses namely cinematography, Visual media, Editing and Sound
Whether it is the regular / part time course?
All the courses are regular only. The school works from Monday to Friday and the classes begin from 8 am to 4:00 pm, After which students are allowed to watch the movies which will be screened in our theatre till 5.30 pm.
What is the minimum qualification of those courses?
12th passed candidates for cinematography and visual media and 10th passed candidates for Editing and Sound
What is the duration of the course?
All the courses are one year courses
When is the minimum age limit for these courses ?
Candidate who attains the age of 14 years and with in the age of 25 years are eligible to apply for the above mentioned courses.
If i am a working person, Am I eligible to apply for the course?
We give certain relaxation to those people who are employed with one condition that is the candidate has to refer the related books during the weekend and has to submit the monthly project works then there needed by the department.
What are the other activities of the school?
Monthly Education tour and industrial visit is compulsory for all students. Expenses will be bared by the students.
Seminar and guest lecture also conducted.
We also allow our students to participate in the cultural events the other colleges.
Who will conduct the classes?
Only those who obtained in the Diploma in film technology with minimum of three years of experience will conduct the classes.
What are the facilities you have?
We provide our students to handle with Digital Film Camera, Arriflex , Mitchell camera to become a well trained professionals. They avail the opportunity to watch movie in the campus theatre. Internet and browsing facility will be also provided for the students.
What is the selection procedure you handle to admit the students?
It begins with written exam followed by the group discussion. The filtered candidate will be selected and appear for personal interview.
How will I get the application and prospects?
A DD of rupees 200 should be taken from any nationalized bank favour of ‘The Principal, CFIS , Chennai’ those who obtained DD will receive the prospects and application form. Outstation candidate should send the DD along with Rs.30 self addressed envelope to receive the prospects and application form.
When does the class begin?
The class commences from 1st week of July 2006.
Do you conduct campus interview?
At the end our program students go for internship training for one month which paves a way to shine as a professional under their specialization.
I am sports person, can i get any concession on fees?
Yes according to government norms we give some fees relaxation to the students who has participate and one state level national level competitions such as dance, drama, sports, songs, paintings and etc.
Where does the school locate?
The school situates near Thiruvanmiyur, Half Km away from the Tidel park.
Will you provide any hostel facility?
Now we didn’t, but in future according to strength of the students wish we will accommodate.
Can we avail for government job?
The certificate issued by Government of Tamilnadu is a valuable one. One can register the certificate and get government jobs in any portfolio.
Does the school has library facility?
Yes, we also provide students with British council library cards and American council cards.
